Today I saw many omensGreat, the rugby team won gold and so we get a holiday tomorrow+ a public caning on Monday. I wonder why Dr. Ong put holiday and caning all in one go. Free show. Is the win even the papers? I don't think half the people bother to turn to the page.
Anyway, for some reason I've been having this feeling that something bad is gonna come my way. Already, I've been given so many warnings, but I still don't know what this big bad thing is. Maybe I'll never know till it hits me when I least expect it. Since when do you get insisted to take a big dose of cough mixture just before you go to a Maths Test?
Firstly, Maths test was a fluke. You're kinda ok filling the indices and variations answers then when you flip over the page your whole mind goes "wtf" and you can't solve a single question while Tim Ng notes the time down which suddenly seems to pass at a rate of 4 minutes a second. So that's one omen already, lots more to come.
Secondly, I was sent out of Chinese class. Actually, I was blowing those bubble baloon things in the middle of class, then Jin Pin dropped a sweet which I picked and ate, and that's how I got jacked: For laughing at an undersized bubble with a sweet in my mouth. Anyway, the class was so noisy that I didn't make it to the door before I walked back to the table and lesson continued as normal.
Then after Physical Science Prac, in which my resistor didn't work but actually it did, I noticed my textbook missing. After looking for it for 5 whole minutes, I gave up. But all that effort paid off, eventually you'll see.
Then I got my English paper back. 21/35, right on the dot 60. It's kind of amazing, when it's Term 3 all the normal dudes go up and all the smartstuff go down. I suppose it's cos' Term 3 papers are easier than they seem.
Then came the History pop quiz, which, although was open book, screwed me up. I didn't really feel like doing it and instead was thinking of getting my paper so I can compliment my nice 60 English paper. Anyway, the book wasn't much use either. And it's just a pop quiz.
Then at LS class, my effort finally paid off. In the middle of class, some .8 guy walked in and handed a book to Jin Pin, who then threw my book in the air and made such a lovely aim that it hit me on the head then on my lip. You ever wiped your numb lip to find a finger of blood, only to suck it back down into your intestines?
Then Math class and a yellow sheet of paper with one of Pythagoras' theorem's proofs came along. At the end, Max Tan/Wong managed to solve a bloody mistake with his so-called superior brain, no offence. Tieh-dish was such a sad case. Trying to think super hard and getting random inspiration where he'll suddenly jump up. In the end, he had to copy the Max correction. Maybe only Roy Buhdda can get that kind of lingspiration.
"Already so many omens come my way. Some are small, some are big. Are more to follow, or is the big one up next? Maybe it's right above me now, waiting to crush me any moment, it's just that I didn't noice..."
